On May 2, 2015, Dr. Dara Flink volunteered at Healthy Kids Day, an event hosted by the Greater Green Bay YMCA each year.

Healthy Kids Day is a free, family event that takes place at Shopko Hall. It offers several opportunities for kids to learn about how to improve their general health and well-being. Along with her assistant, Mindy, and other volunteers, Flink ran a dental booth that provided educational information and demonstrations for children, giving them a hands-on experience to promote good oral health.

The booth included activities that encouraged adequate brushing, flossing, and nutritional health. In addition, it served as a fun and exciting way to get kids interested in preventive dental techniques and provided instruction that emphasized the value of healthy teeth and gums. Flink has organized the dental segment of the event for several years, and often reaches out to other professionals, such as dental assistants, hygienists, and dentists for support.
